Entrepreneur Development Program
I. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE
The workshop consists of three modules. Module A is all about entrepreneurial thinking. 98% of the
people in the world come from the employee background. Conventional education and upbringing
has given them a way of thinking which could spell doom for them in the information age. They still
live by the 20th century dictum which are no longer relevant. They are still focused on cram
education which kills the spirit of originality, adventure and imagination and focuses on memorising
facts and getting marks based on how much of the obsolete ideas and data you can retrieve in a
judgemental centralised examination system. There is dire need to change the industrial age
thinking to the information age thinking.
Module A will stretch your imagination and introduce you to the entrepreneurial way of thinking.
Module B deals with entrepreneurship in India. It covers issues and opportunities in
entrepreneurship development and the small-scale sector in India.
Module C shows how to search for innovative opportunities and how to develop an innovative idea
into a viable business proposal. Above all, Module C focuses on why you must start your own
business in India today.
The workshop is not just a run of the mill academic exercise acquainting you with the theories and
concepts of entrepreneurship. The course is a practical hands on discussion and brainstorming
session on how you can acquire effective entrepreneurial thinking and take effective steps to set up
your own business. At the end of the two-day workshop you could start your own business.
employee2owner will support you in your effort and help you succeed. The EDP workshop could be
